Missed the first trade at 346 (day low,opening range).(please refer previous posts) Then  caught the pullback, reason for trade. 1 downtrend in stock,index- NIFTY. 2 Good volume &inverse hammer (pullback) 3 Rejection by moving average and below VWAP. Reliance continued the trend..Once again setup beautifully with good risk reward. Reasons for trade  1 Triangle  formation. 2 higher lows in structure and double bottom. 3. Price Above Vwap,Moving Average. 4 moving average squeeze with trendine. 5 Hammer and rejection from moving average. So,entry 1686,stop loss 1683(below moving average). What happened later?         Exit at 1697,1700 seems to be a resistance. Now risk was 3 and reward 11 , clearly almost 1:4 reward. Good trade.But what happened after this is insane. Let’s see. It went up almost 100 point from our exit.Thats a lot of points. But didn’t trail because market is uncertain,this happens 1 in 100 days and trying to catch this is foolishness.Definately you can trail small quantities. It’s Foreign investment time in Reliance industries Ltd,investments are coming thick and fast for Jio, Clearly Indicating a Strong foreign interest in 🇮🇳 India. There is news about another investment in Reliance from Middle East. Opening range breakout on these kind of days is going to be really rewarding if played properly. Reasons for trade 1 news about investment and overall market is positive. 2 above vwap and Moving average. 3 break of opening range with a strong bullish candle and hammer. 4 double bottom breakout,flag breakout. 5 above 2 day high. 2 day high at 1635  So we buy around 1636 with stop loss at 1659. For a target at the end of the day. Reliance keep on moving up on trending days with news,so better to trail for good risk reward. So,entry 1636 Exit    1660 Risk reward. = 7: 24 Better than 1:3. Lesson and knowledge from the day The stoploss need to be readjusted if the opening candle is very large. So double the stop loss with half the quantity.

Reliance and DIVIS labs. DIVIS Lab Planned to exit a 2406,but greed took in and thought of waiting till 2400. Ended up exiting at break even. Lesson-don’t change your plan in the trade. Reliance also had to exit at small profit,due to greed. It went to go below,so was a good exit. But greed should be avoided. This what happened,a good short opportunity was there,didn’t take. it’s was at over bought,market showing weakness (nifty50). Inside bar lower break at pull back just confirmed bearishness. Just scalped 2 points at overbought region.

Top gainers trade which as per our strategy Bajaj finance Closed near buy price small loss.But loss. IndusInd Bank Profit,entry day low. Top losers No trades. No reversal seen from losers they also lost heavily. Now I am thinking of using both stratergies irrespective of gainers or losers. Review  Weekly Losers are losing more heavily.Would have given quality trades. From now on,let’s use the same stratergy in both winners and losers. Stratergy is same,but if the setup comes we will take irrespective of gainers or losers. From our testing it’s clear that losers have good probability to continue falling,Also we are not getting enough trades,so we will do both trend following + reversion.

30 May 2020 Weekly intraday strategy is our new strategy.It is a test strategy,it is not meant to be traded. The aim is to built a strategy from an assumption by trial and error method, learning and tweaking as we proceed.The aim to reach a super strategy at the end.This employs a live back testing. RECAP The strategy is based on the fact that top weekly gainers and losers have a good chance for reversal from overbought regions.This can give opportunity. We use Bollinger bands to find the top zones along with RSI,Stochastic indicator for confirmation.We enter when days low is breached which is another confirmation. The strategy seems to have enough edge going forward,now,our aim is to further tweak it after live performances.We may end up with a completely different strategy after sometimes, that is good as long as it can make money.
