Weekly intraday strategy review and request to readers.

30 May 2020 Weekly intraday strategy is our new strategy. It is a test strategy,it is not meant to be traded. The aim is to built a strategy from an assumption by trial and error method, learning and tweaking as we proceed. The aim to reach a super strategy at the end. This employs a live back testing. RECAP The strategy is based on the fact that top weekly gainers and losers have a good chance for reversal from overbought regions. This can give opportunity. We use Bollinger bands to find the top zones along with RSI,Stochastic indicator for confirmation. We enter when days low is breached which is another confirmation. The strategy seems to have enough edge going forward, now, our aim is to further tweak it after live performances. We may end up with a completely different strategy after sometimes, that is good as long as it can make money. Last week lessons Stop loss initially was planned at 0.60% from entry. Now,it’s tweaked to 0.72%( initially planned 78 ,but chan

ICICI BANK gave a scalp. I choose to scalp,a safe scalp. We cannot time a reversal so trailing can be risky. The stock did broke below 290.A high quantity safe scalp is better on free falling markets or a low quantity wide stop  Loss trailing trades. Bajaj finance If you haven’t read my Bajaj finance article please read ,I have mentioned the strategy and analysis. The stock did move down and tried scalping a few points, the major resistance of 1915 was broken and entry was difficult as stock was free falling.Caught 10 points in the trade. Reliance industries (right issue ),ICICI bank Intraday noon session trades 20 may 2020

Image
Two stocks in the watchlist RIL and ICICI. There is a news associated with Reliance(Right issue is open today, the stock gained 2% in the morning trade) Now the stock consolidated in a triangle fashion giving us an opportunity. The price was below 25 MA and trend line indicating weakness, a good scalping opportunity was seen till vwap.Since there is news associated with the stock it’s better to scalp with what you get rather than trailing and hoping to catch a big trend. Entry at 1432 stop loss at 1435 And target at vwap,1426 Target done 6 points with 3 point risk. R:R 1:2. Since, the stock is in news it’s safe to trade with tight stop and target, the stock might break to the upside!. ICICI bank trade Perfect setup, too good to fail setup. There is a head and shoulder ,there is a double top,all averages are down, lower high and trend line break.       Entry at 300,stop loss at 301 for 297.25 target( day low). This is what happened,my stop loss was hit.

Reliance industries intraday analysis may 19 2020.

Image
Reliance industries intraday analysis may 19 2020. This is the intraday analysis of Reliance industries. This is the hourly chart to give picture of what happened through the last 2 days. The stock opened in the same range as the previous close. The range breakout failed and the stock stayed in the same range. The 13:15 hourly candle gave the breakout and the stock closed the session near the lows. A pretty rewarding session in the higher time frame!. Now,let’s look at the entry exit region in smaller time frames,15 and 5 minutes. 15 minutes The stock broke the trend line(White colour) and gave a pullback, after consolidation for 15 min, prices again tested the lows and that was the entry with a stop of 1445( above the consolidation candle high). So entry at 1437.5.  15 points profit but there was more for risky players as the stock closed at 1409. So 15 point target at 7.5 risk. Risk reward -1:2.
